Oh my goodness today just got away from me. I'll try to write a bit before bed. I just wanted to make sure that people know that I'm not just trying to make my husband work and just sit home and eat bonbons. I worked as a cashier for about 15 years, almost 10 years in one place. When we moved here my husbands job was 30 min. away and we only have one car. When we lived in Rockford both of our jobs and home were all within 10 min so we just traded the car a lot. I've only been home for about 3 1/2 years and I'm sure when my son is in middle school and my daughter is in high school I will go back to work because they will be able to stay home for a wile by themselves. My problem is that all the jobs I qualify for (cashier or stocker) I hate and the things I love don't always have jobs for. If there was a perfect job for me it would be getting paid for what I volunteer to do now. I work in the school and staple and make copies for some of the teachers. I would love to be a gofer (gofor?) for the teachers and get paid for it but that is not a job that is available (maybe some day in the future). I wouldn't mind selling my crafts (I know that is a hot topic for some crafters) but I need to work on some organizational skills. My third favorite job would be to finish my doula (a birth helper) training have that as my job. I didn't finish because I have to have my children be able to stay home by themselves. I may write tomorrow but I'll start with my updates next week.
