Sorry for no post yesterday and no picture today. Yesterday I put a virus on my computer. Luckily I can use my husband's. It was one of those things where I was in a hurry and I accidentally clicked on something I shouldn't have. It made me feel really dumb. We will have to go to the store and buy some antivirus software because we don't want to put our card information in right now. I'm not sure when we will be able to go so I'm not sure how much I will blog till then.
I did finish the scarf so next will be the tea cozy. Today I'm working on the charity knitting that I didn't do the other week. I still have the cupcake pillow and little fox to do. I really need to just put the eyes in and be done. Even though I have tons of projects I'm going to start thinking about the next one.
I caught up on all my k-drama over the weekend. I was listening to podcasts yesterday but with the computer problem I didn't get very far. I won't be able to play WOW till that's fixed either I don't think.
I think that's it for now. Hopefully I have some better news next time. See you then.

I have 2,500 views! Thanks, I hope you are entertained.
This is the scarf from a couple of days ago. It is farther along but not finished, I slowed down when I found out we weren't going to give presents on actual Christmas. I have one side to bind off and one to finish. There are going to be a ton of ends to weave in. I'm still confused on the "yarn in front" concept, I'm going to have to look it up. After the scarf I'll work on the tea cozy, cupcake pillow, then the eyes for the little fox and anything else I want to put in the box with it. I also need to do my charity knitting. So many projects so little time.
I caught up on all my k-drama and tried a couple new ones. I tried one episode and liked The Kings Face and I didn't like Punch. I posted this on the k-drama group on Ravelry but I'm going to post it here. It's my opinion of k-drama's for the year.
My favorite dramas:
- It’s Okay, That’s Love
- Modern Farmer
- Pinocchio
My least favorite drama:
She’s So Lovely (I cried more for the dog than I did the people)
She’s So Lovely (I cried more for the dog than I did the people)
Most confusing drama:
Pride and Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice
Favorite movie:
Werewolf Boy (the only movie I watched)
Werewolf Boy (the only movie I watched)
Goals for next year:
- Finish My Love From Another Star
- Finish Absolute Boyfriend
- Look into more J-drama
I ended up not making cookies because I had baking soda not baking powder. My husband is supposed to be picking me up some. Instead of listening to podcasts today, I spent the time researching board games so I can hopefully get Mooky away from the TV so much. I found a few interesting ones so hopefully I can order something soon. I feel like there was something else I wanted to say but it's gone now so it must not be important, right? See you next time.

Since it's Christmas eve here is a terrible picture of our tree. We weren't planning to be here for Christmas so I didn't worry about it much but now plans have changed. We are going to try and visit my family the first weekend of January as long as there isn't a snow storm like last year. There are two plus sides to this. 1. I don't have to rush for the presents. 2. We can visit Mitsuwa since it will be open. I would like to go to HMart too but I don't think that will happen.
I have been working on the scarf and it's almost done. I have to do the long black borders and that is going to be a bit of a slog. I realize I was doing something wrong. The pattern said to slip a stitch with yarn in front and I have been doing it with the yarn in back. I'm sure it will be fine it's just a bit of a disappointment. I'm going to finish the scarf then go back and do the charity knitting I missed. I got the patch for my brother-in-laws hat but I haven't put it on yet since there is no rush. The people I bought it from seemed helpful but a little slow about returning e-mails. I understand that since they may have other jobs. My problem though is the patch came without instructions. I can figure it out but I thought I'd ask. I asked what heat/time they would recommend. The e-mail I got said, "I use high heat." That was the extent of the message and to me that seems a bit unprofessional. They could have added a little to that. Oh well I have the patch so that's all that matters. I really need to do that so I can mail it right after Christmas.
For K-drama I actually finished Blade Man (It's actually Iron Man but that is weird in English). It's wasn't a bad drama but it wasn't the best. I could have skipped it and been just fine. It's about a spoiled, rich guy who owns a video game company. He has some serious anger issues. A while back his girlfriend (who his father didn't like) went missing and he has been searching for her ever since. He has some other issues that he blacks out and doesn't remember. Our heroin is a poor game developer who is trying her best to help every one around her. I think this is part of why the show was just "meh" for me. She isn't a "bad" leading lady but I really like my girls with a little more spunk and back bone. She isn't wimpy but she is so nice and helpful to others I just want her to do something without waiting for others. My favorite character is secretary Ko. He is just so much fun and his facial expressions are so funny. I do like that Hong Bin (the bratty rich guy) does seem to grow and mature. There was a part where I got weepy but in general it get me emotionally as some others I have watched this year. The show is ridiculous and it knows it, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't say it's a bad drama but it's wouldn't be one of my first recommendations.
My daughter really wanted to watch High School- Love On and I'm glad she pressured me into it because I only watched one episode and I like it more than Blade Man so far, I'm catching up on Running Man. I just watched the latest episode with Woo Bin in it. He has really grown up since the last time he was on. It was a fun episode. I still have one more, the Christmas episode. I'll finish up k-drama today and maybe I'll play WOW tomorrow.
One of our neighbor's gave up some banana bread and it was still warm. I wasn't expecting it so I didn't have anything for her but I want the kids and I to make some cookies today or tomorrow and then we can give her some. I'm planing to go take our December picture now. That's about it. I'll write again after Christmas. Have a good one.

This is the progress on my my dad's scarf from a few days ago. I have made a bunch of progress since then and finally feel like I will finish it but I'm not sure about the other things. To top it off I skipped my charity knitting for this week so I'll have to go back and do that. I'll take another picture tomorrow and hopefully it will be almost finished by then. I didn't like it much at first but the more I work on it I see how everything plays nicely together. I learned something about picking up stitches. I thought the term ment just using your needled to poke through the stitches and put them on you needle, but really you put you needle through the old stitch and pull a loop through and that is your new live stitch. This could be part of why I hated picking up stitches on socks and those fingerless gloves I made.
I caught up on all my podcast and even made it thought Dancing Geek's four our episode. I didn't do that in all one sitting. I was planing to play WOW today but I can't play and craft at the same time, that is something else I have to do later. Today I'm watching k-drama. There was a scene in Pinocchio that had me crying and I was messing up my knitting. I may finish Blade Man today.
On Saturday we visited my husband's family and it wasn't as awkward as I was afraid it would be. On Christmas we are going to my sister's house but her husband's family is going to be there as well and that makes me uncomfortable. I'm sure it will turn out better than I'm afraid it will but I'm not looking forward to that part. Tomorrow I have a ton of running around to do. Amey broke part of her braces, I have to finish the Christmas shopping, and there is something at the post office for us. I'll try and blog but I'm not sure how much I'll be home. In the meantime have a good day.

I keep losing the light. It's kind of a pain when it't too dark to take a good picture at 4:30. I forgot to show this, it's a cat ear ear warmer/headband. The pattern is Neko Ear Warmer and it's free on Ravelry. I didn't do the ears exactly as written because I was reading subtitles at the same time and I couldn't concentrate. It's really hard to take a picture of this. I'm really starting to feel the Christmas pressure. I'm not sure I will finish the scarf. I think I may stop with that and make the tea cozy. My sister was going to pay me for that and I think she wants it as a Christmas present for her husband. I do crochet faster than I knit and the scarf isn't the only thing I'm getting my dad. I finally ordered the patch and am paying extra to have it shipped priority. That's what I get for waiting till the last minute.
I have been watching my podcast and I should be all caught up today. The last one I have to watch is the four hour one from Dancing Geek. I tried to watch it live but my sound was so bad it wouldn't have been any fun. If I finish the Dancing Geek episode I'll watch some Knitting Blooms. We'll see if I make it through the four hour show first.
I helped in the school today and one teacher gave me $50 for my help. She did the same thing last year. I re-dyed my hair so it will be nice for Christmas. We are going to my husband's grandma's house tomorrow so I don't think I'll be able to post tomorrow. I think that's it. See you next time.

Here is the beginning of the start of my dad's scarf. It's going to take a while and the pictures are going to be boring because I'm just going to have a lot of pictures of the same thing just bigger. I'm going to add the fifth color next. I still need to put the eyes on the little fox. Until I get this scarf done I don't think I'll be working on much else. I don't think that I have anything else to say about knitting this time.
I did try to play WOW yesterday but it wasn't much fun for some reason. Today I'll catch up on my podcasts. I am a little frustrated with Dramafever/Hulu. They take a lot longer to get the k-dramas up compared to Soopi. I'm not sure which one has more accurate translations though. There was a comment from one of the girls on the k-drama group that said Pride and Prejudice is supposed to be confusing so I feel a little better.
I did finish I Hear Your Voice last night. The story is about a high school student that can hear other people's thoughts named Park Su Ha (played by Lee Jong Seok). We see his back story where he was in a car accident with his father. The driver of the truck that hit them, instead of helping them, kill the father in font of Su Ha. This is violent and there are other violent scenes so this might be a trigger for some people. The other players in the this k-drama are Jang Hye Sung and Cha Kwang Woo. Hye Sung is a bored, kind of lazy lawyer who is a bit of cranky and moody. A large part of the first episode is dedicated to her back story and how it eventually merges with Su Ha. Kwang Woo is an idealistic former police officer who is working to become a public defender. In the first episode the concept of truth and lies starts with Hye Sung's back story and the daughter of her mother's employer who is in her same class. I think the drama has a good mix of action (beatings, stabbings, and just fights) and romance. It's also coming of age story for Su Ha and there is a lot of growth for Hye Sung as well. Since it involves lawyers there is quite a bit of court room drama which is interesting to see how the Korean system is different. The show did lag a little in the middle, partially because there was an extension, but I really liked it. Outside of the cute romance/action story it can really make you think if you let it. As long as the violence doesn't bother you I highly recommend it
The temperature has dropped again but it's still not as cold as it could be. I don't thing anything else is exciting here. I'm just going to be working a lot on the scarf since it has a time limit. My husband got a tooth out so he's a bit uncomfortable but he's adult so I don't have to play nursemaid as much as if it were one of the kids. That's it for now so I'll see you next time.

This is the progress on my daughter's fingerless mitt. I haven't really gotten any farther because I've been distracted by other projects. Yesterday I did charity knitting and packaged up all the mitts and hats that I have made. Now they are ready to mail but I may not be able to do that till after Christmas. I'm playing WOW today so I won't get much crafting done but when I do I'll put the eyes on the little fox then work on the tea cozy. I ripped out the last one and am going to try a different pattern. I have to get the tea cozy, the scarf, and the cupcake pillow done before Christmas. I only have about a week. On the plus side next week the kids will be off school so I will have a lot less running around.
I only have one episode of I Hear Your Voice left but I've already watched half accidentally. It is really interesting to watch it at the same time as Pinocchio, I think I said that before. In I Hear Your Voice the theme is telling the truth and if you don't who it hurts. Pinocchio takes that a step further and talks about the ethics of telling the truth. Just because you tell the truth doesn't mean it can't be worse than a lie depending on how you say it. Or just because someone says they are telling the truth do you believe them? Or even if someone believes they have the truth it doesn't mean it's THE TRUTH. I can see some of the set up of Pinocchio in I Hear Your Voice. I should be able to write more about I Hear Your Voice tomorrow because I think I'll finish it tonight.
It's still warm for December but it's really overcast which makes me sleepy and grumpy. Mooky is home today because he was sick yesterday but he seems fine now. There isn't anything else interesting going on here. That could be a good thing. Have a good day.

I guess this looks a bit like a bumble bee. I think it will look better when it has the patch. I really didn't like the decreases so if I make this hat again I'll do them a little different. Well not the decreases but how you close the top after the decreases. I got the yarn for my dad's scarf on Saturday. I started it and so far it's not as hard as I thought it would be but I haven't gotten to the picked up stitches yet. I don't think it's really giving anything away to say that you slip the first stitch so you have something easy to pick up later. I did get the little fox put together except for it's eyes so I may be able to mail that soon. The other things I need to mail are all the things I made for Pine Ridge. I plan to package all the mittens with the tag tonight. My before Christmas list is: order and apply the patch, finish my dad's scarf, and prep some things for some crochet lessons at Christmas.
I played WOW and got my hunter to level 70 and moved her to Northrend. There isn't anything else interesting with that. I'm almost caught up on my k-dramas for this week. I started a new one called Healer that has a kind of City Hunter vibe to it. It's really interesting watching Pinocchio and I Hear Your Voice at the same time. The themes are the same and there are little things that repeat in both dramas. I think I'm about three episodes from the end of I Hear Your Voice. I have as many dramas lined up as I do projects.
This is the last week before the kids go on Christmas vacation. We are working on making ornaments to give out to the families for Christmas. I want to make cookies too but I don't own a rolling pin. I'll have to get one next time I go shopping. It's really warm here for December but I'm not complaining compared to last year. I think that's it for now. I'll see you next time.

I lost the light again yesterday. Here is the charity hat I made on Sunday. The other hats are soaking so I can mail them. Hopefully I can get them out before Christmas. I turned the heel of the stripy sock but I am working on the second of my daughter's fingerless mitts so the size 2 is busy. I am about half way through the third heart and I need five. The lady I'm making the little fox for made a comment about her ears getting cold so I made a little head band with some of the left overs from the little fox. I got all the things together to sew it together, I'm determined to get it done. I'm a little irritated with the yarn for my dad's scarf. It took almost a week from the time I ordered till it was shipped (on the plus side I guess they didn't charge till it was shipped) and now Fed Ex has changed the delivery date from tomorrow till Monday. With the tracking I can see that the yarn was in Kentucky and made a stop in Illinois but is now in Kansas. Really? Just pass me by I guess. I won't run out of things to work on but because it is a different construction than I'm used to I wanted extra time to work on it.
I caught up on all my podcasts partially because not everyone had a new one out. I got A Night Bird to work finally. It figures since she should have a new one out soon. James (Dancing Geek) isn't recording this week and is planning to have a live one on Saturday. I'm hoping I can jump in on that for at least a little while. It will be recorded so I'll be able to see it either way but it would be fun to see it live and chat with other people watching. I don't think there was any other interesting podcast news. I want to play WOW today but I may end up doing to much running around to do that.
I'm feeling better than I was the other day. I just need more sleep and sunshine. Oh, I was going to update you on the underwear club. I did it for two months then quit. I carry my weight in my hips so things just didn't fit right. The styles were really cute and the price was reasonable so maybe I'll try again if I lose weight. O.k. I think that's it for today. Have a good day.
Tuesday, December 9, 2014
I'm not sure if this looks much different then the last time. I measured the sock and am having issue because I think I actually made the first one shorter that I thought. I thought I was to the heel but then I had to rip back because I forgot to add the extra stitches. I was counting stripes but the numbers seem off. I started my daughter's second fingerless mitt and finished the first heart and I need five. The down side of the mitts are that I can't really take it with me as waiting room knitting since I need the chart. The yarn that I ordered has been shipped so I'll work on that when it gets here. It will be interesting because I haven't really picked up stitches before.
I started listening to my podcasts but nothing is jumping out at me as really important. I don't feel great today so I don't think you are going to get much of a post today. I think I'm just tired but I really don't feel like I have any energy. I hope I'm not coming down with something. I know there was something I meant to say but I can't remember it right now. I'm sorry I'm so boring. I'll see you next time.

Here is a picture of the hat. It's actually done right now and in the laundry basket so it can be washed, I think you can see why it was giving me a Charlie Brown feeling with the colors. Can you see the row of purls? That is where you fold the lining up into the hat so it's double thick over your ears. It's interesting and not as crazy big as I thought it would be. I need to buy a patch to iron on to it and it will be done and ready to gift. My sister got her box and was happy with it. I still have to make her a tea cozy but I'm still trying to decide how to do that when I don't have the tea pot here to make sure it fits. I was thinking of doing something that was ribbed so it stretches. We'll see. Now that the hat is done I am going to cast on my daughter's second fingerless mitt. I did also do some charity knitting. Now to get that washed up and mailed. After I start the fingerless mitt I will have the little fox, cupcake then some ear warmers.
I watched a lot of k-drama over the weekend. A while back I tried to watch I Hear Your Voice but I something messed up and I started with the last episode and I gave up in frustration. The same writer that wrote I Hear Your Voice is writing Pinocchio (which I enjoy) so I thought I would give it another try. My husband is actually watching it with me and we are up to episode 8. It's interesting and I can see the ground work for Pinocchio. I can also see why so many people like it. I'll let you know how it goes.
Today I had to go and have some of Amey's teeth pulled. They were her baby teeth so her adult ones could grow in properly. She is doing well and not really having any pain so I think it went well. I don't think I have anything else to say so that's it for today. If I think of anything I'll let you know. See you next time.
Saturday, December 6, 2014
It's really kind of a pink color as opposed to the red. I ran out and I think it's o.k. because the green makes it look like a strawberry. I need to get these washed so I can package them up to mail. I did mail the box to my sister so that's one thing off the list. For the hat I'm starting the decreases and I'm almost to the heel of the sock. Those pictures will be up next. I haven't gotten a tracking number for the yarn I ordered so I don't know when it will get here. I still have the little fox, the cupcake and my daughter's other fingerless mitt so I'm not going to run out of projects anytime soon.
I played a little WOW and I completed another area for my Loremaster but that's about it. I've also caught up on Running Man. It's kind of hit and miss. The alien episode wasn't that funny but the office worker one was up till the end. I am keeping caught up on my k-drama's as well. Tomorrow's Cantabile just ended so The King's Face is the next one I want to try. I don't think there are any new drama's I want to see right now so it may give me a chance to go back and watch some old one's that I want to watch.
Tomorrow's Cantabile (Cantabile Tomorrow) is based on the Japanese Manga Nodame Cantabile. The show is about a perfectionist pianist (son of a famous pianist who is harsh and demanding) who is reconsidering his career path and an eccentric, messy, and kind of crazy pianist and how their lives and music intertwine. He learns not to be so uptight and she learns to take her music more seriously. Along the way they collect a bunch of friends that were misfits at the music school. There is tons of classical music and they talk a little about some of the pieces. I found it very sweet but a touch "fluffy." It's just not as deep or deeply romantic as some other dramas. It kind of feels young, like it was meant of a younger audience so it was kept more "clean." I think this is why there was no kiss. This disappointed a lot of people but it didn't bother me much. The thing I disliked the most was, besides the last scene, the last episode felt tacked on, kind of like it could have ended an episode earlier. I would recommend it.
I thought I might skip Thursday's blog but I didn't think I would skip Friday. I was running around on Thursday but Friday I got home in time but I lost the light. I didn't have any pictures so I waited till today. I have an extra picture at the end as well. Near here I have seen a hawk or a falcon and I finally got a picture of it. The picture isn't that great but it was the best my camera could do. Maybe some time I can figure out how to compensate for the light. If you know what it is you can let me know. I guess that's all for today. See you next time.

This is the cape/ shawl that I made for my daughter. I used the Chevron Lace Cardigan pattern for it (free on Ravelry). I made it without sleeves so it is like a very form fitting shawl. I still need a button or a clasp. They yarn is Red Heart Boutique Changes that is now discontinues. I really liked that yarn, it had a lot of fun textures in it. I'm still working on the hat and the sock. I'm about an inch from the decreases on the hat and about half done with the foot of the sock. I'm planning to order the yarn for my dad's scarf tomorrow. Hopefully I'll finish the hat before the yarn arrives. I still need to mail the box to my sister and wash the charity knitting so I can mail that too. I need to get on this stuff. I procrastinate too much.
I watched a Korean movie today. It's called A Werewolf Boy (Wolf Boy in Korean) and it's from 2012. I liked it but it's a romantic melodrama so it hurts if you know what I mean. It's set in 1965 and a widow and her two daughters move to the country so the oldest can get well. They find a feral boy, who looks about 19, and take care of him thinking he is one of the thousands of war orphans. Of course problems arise, started by the landlord and former business partner of the father. The ending was not what I expected and it wasn't a bad ending but it was bittersweet. The wolf boy is played by Song Joong Ki who I really like anyway from Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Running Man. It will be interesting to see what rolls he plays when his military service is over. I think he has one more year.
I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. It's related to sleep. I didn't sleep well so my depression tried to kick in. I feel better today. I also am now the Shady Cels Nerd Wars captain. Lisajedi is still the captain over everything but she is more focused on Nerdopolis. We'll see what I need to do, right now not much because no one really plays much over there. I think that's it for today. I have a lot of running around to do tomorrow so I will try to post but I'm not sure I will be able too. We'll see. See you next time.
Monday, December 1, 2014
Well it's the first of December but her is the late November picture. We took this one very late. One more picture and we will have done the whole year. I need to print them out and see what they look like all together.
For knitting I'm going back and forth between working on my brother in-law's hat and the second stripy sock. The hat is turning out well but the colors give me a Charlie Brown feeling with the colors. I think it will help when I get the Hawkeye patch to put on it. When my husband gets paid I will order the yarn for a scarf for my dad. It will be different since you pick up stitches and knit in another direction. I haven't ever picked up stitches well but it was always on sock weight so a thicker yarn might not be so hard. One thing I stared and finished last week was a shawl/cape thing. There is a sweater patter I have made twice and this time I made it but with out sleeves so it is more like a cape. I'll post a picture of it next time and talk about it more then. I have to take my daughter to the doctor today so I'll take the hat with since it's good waiting room knitting. I'm hoping to finish it this week so we'll see how I do.
I've been listening to podcasts to try and catch up. I'm about half way done but James (Dancing Geek) always slows me down since his are so long. I don't think there was anything that stands out that anyone said or anything like that. I think it will take me about one more day then I'll go back to WOW. I'll get the expansion for that for Christmas but my husband already has a couple of level 100 characters. I think that's all I have to say for now, if I think of anything else I'll let you know next time.
There isn't anything interesting happening around here now. We did get our tree up and the other Christmas things out. The kids of course are getting excited for Christmas. I'm not looking forward to the cold. There was a beautiful sunset the other day but I didn't have my camera on me at the time. I guess that's it. I'll see you next time.
Saturday, November 29, 2014
Goodness I didn't mean to skip so many days. It's been a little crazy with Thanksgiving. This is the beginning of my brother in-law's hat. It's farther along now and I've added the black. It really feels large but I think it will be o.k. I think it will be warm when it's doubled even if it's not wool. I want to order some yarn for a scarf for my dad but I may have to wait for a while. Other than that I really need to get that little fox sewn together, finish my daughter's other fingerless mitt and finish the cupcake pillow. So many things to do.
I'm caught up on all my airing k-dramas but I did start Blade Man (Iron Man). It's funnier than I expected. I did play a little WOW. Nothing really stands out with that right now. I'm going to watch/listen to podcasts now. I have some podcasts that have two episodes out. I did have trouble with A Night Bird last time so I'll try again. I have lots of things to do for that too,
Thanksgiving was pretty good but we made a little mistake. I wanted to put the turkey in the crock-pot so I was making sure it would fit. I checked width but I forgot to check height. We had to jury rig a lid. It turned out o.k. but not as good as last year. My husband really likes the crispy skin so he said he would do it next year in the oven and that's fine with me. I did not do any black Friday shopping. Since I worked in retail for so may years I refuse. It also bothers me that some stores start it on Thursday night. Next week I have a ton on appointments so maybe I'll get my stripy sock and/or the hat done (well I don't have the patch for the hat but other than that). I think that's it for today. I'll see you next time.
Tuesday, November 25, 2014
This is the fingerless mitt I made for my daughter. I still need to make another one. The heart patter shows up much better now the I how how to do yarn overs properly. The stripy section at the top is where I went back and forth to make the thumb hole. If I was better at knitting I probably could have made a heart in there but I really didn't want to deal with it. If I ever do it again I'll see what I can do. I worked on some charity knitting and my brother in-law's hat. The hat is made really long then you fold up the bottom to make a lining. It feels weird because it seems bigger than normal but that could be my imagination. You were supposed to get 4.5 stitches to the inch but I got 5 so I went up a needle size. I'm still getting 5 but I don't want to go up another needle size. I'm trying to just trust the pattern but I feel a little like I'm going to have to rip it out and start again smaller. We'll see.
What I was doing yesterday instead of blogging was finishing up My Lovely Girl. It wasn't my favorite drama. I've seen worse and I wouldn't say it was bad just not as good as I was hoping. A famous song writer is in a car accident with his girlfriend and she dies and he survives. This turns him into a recluse and no one knows where he is for three years. One strange night his dead girlfriend's phone, which is supposed to be deactivated, rings. (Why he has his dead girlfriend's phone is not something I am going to try and figure out) He listens to a voice message from her sister saying how hard it is and how much she has to struggle trying to make it in Soul. He decides to find the sister and try and help her. Of course there is confusion, misunderstandings, and hurt feeling for a lot of situations and different people. The idea behind the drama is not bad and Rain is in it but it wasn't as fun as it could have been. I kind of didn't like that they started with a mystical situation but then mostly dropped it till the end. If they wanted to go that rout there should have been more and if they didn't want it they should have found another way for the couple to get together. My biggest problem was Krystal Jung (from FX) who played the leading lady Yoon Se Na. I haven't watched another drama that she has been in so I don't know if she is a bad actress or if that is just the way the character was written and directed. I know she is supposed to struggle but she seems like she almost always has a blank sad expression on her face. I think some of it is I prefer my female characters with a little more spunk. There was a lot of crying in the drama but it still felt cold and stiff to me and I'm not sure why. It should say something that I cried more over the dog than I did the people. I wouldn't say not to watch it but keep you expectations low and there are a ton better ones out there.
I caught up on Running Man and I am on track with Modern Farmer, Tomorrow's Cantabile, and Pinocchio. Right now I'm working on Pride and Prejudice. After that I might watch Blade Man. I passed it over at first because the premise seemed silly but I have been told it's good. The other one that I might try and watch is The King's Face. I have a long list like always.
It snowed a lot yesterday. Some of it has melted but it wasn't fun, I had to put a coat on just to do the laundry. I pulled the turkey out of freezer so it can thaw. The kids have off tomorrow so I'll try to blog but I might miss it. Have a great day

These are the toddler mitts. They are from a pattern called "Made With Love Layette" and it's free on Ravelry. In the pattern the heart if the other way. If I were to do it again I would put the "blank" rows on the top of the heart instead of the bottom. I realize it after I finished the first one but I didn't feel like ripping it out and fixing it then I had to make the other one match. I did the heel on the stripy sock and am ready to start the leg. I bought some yarn for a Christmas present for my brother-in-law. I'm making him a hat. The pattern is simple but I messed up the cast on twice so I figured I should set it aside for a while till I can pay more attention to it. I still have to put the little fox together but I'm avoiding it. I have plenty of projects to work on :)
I tried to play WOW but it wasn't much fun. Things are changed so I have to re-learn it a little. My other problem is that my computer can't really handle the new graphics so it's running weird. I probably won't be getting a new computer any time soon. Our car is dying especially with the cold weather. The money we would have used to get my husband a new computer will probably need to be used a deposit on a "new to us" car. I new car is kind of exciting too. Talking about these things always makes me feel weird. I know it's a first world thing but around here it's really difficult to get any where without a car. It would be different it we lived in a big city but out here there are no side walks and the bus only comes by once and hour in opposite directions (so if you are going west it's two hours between buses). I know a lot of people have it worse so I'm not trying to be ungrateful it's just difficult.
The weather was nice today. It was wet but it felt like spring. I just hope all that water doesn't turn into ice tonight. It think I might go watch some k-drama, I'm behind on Running Man at least. I think that's it, I don't have anything else anything else to say. I'll see you next time.

This is the most recent charity knitting I have done. I haven't put the little fox together but I did finish the first of my daughter's fingerless mitts. I'm working on the heel of the stripy sock. The other thing I have been doing is spinning. I'm going to the yarn store tomorrow to get some yarn for some Christmas knitting. I may also order from Knit Picks for another Christmas knit. Without the new yarn my plans are: finish the fox, finish the cupcake and then the heel of my sock.
I will be caught up on my podcasts today. I might actually play WOW tomorrow. I don't have anything interesting to say right now. We have all our ingredients for Thanksgiving. I think that's it. This is a really shot post, sorry. Have a good day.

These are the hat and mitts I made a while back. I lost one of the mitts for a little while so I didn't get a picture. I finished all the pieces for the little fox so now I just have to sew it together. The decreases do show up if I stuff it as firmly as I like so I'm going to have to lighten up on that a little. I was going to send some hair bands with it but I think I'll just make another tiny fox in another style. I don't know why I feel like I have to add extra things but I do. I'm just to the thumb for my daughter's fingerless glove. I'm going to work back and forth for a while then connect it again to make the hole. I'll decide later if I wasn't to leave it like that or add a little to the thumb hole. If I do add something I'll probably crochet instead of trying to pick up stitches,
I was listening to an episode of In a Sknit (the one before the newest one) and I had a little problem. They were running a knit-a-long where you were supposed to make things that were the same but different. For example you could make two mittens that were the same pattern but different colors, that kind of thing. I entered my totors but I made a mistake. For many knit-a-longs it doesn't matter when you start the project just when you finish. This one it did matter and it didn't dawn on me till after I posted that the white totoro wasn't started at the right time. I thought about deleting it but I thought it would be o.k. to leave it since they were the same but different and I wasn't going to win a prize anyway. I won. I sent a message to one of the hosts to pick someone. That was kind of embarrassing. I'll be more careful in the future.
It's a touch warmer today that it was yesterday. 27 (F) feels like 7 is much nicer that 9 feels like -7. I'm tired for no reason. I think it's just the weather. I want to curl up under the blankets and hibernate like a bear. I think that's it for now, see you next time.

Wow the light is really bad. Look at the progress on the sock. They yarn is from a yarn club based on studio Ghibli movies. This one is based on Princess Mononoke. The sock is ready for the heel but my size 2's are busy. It went pretty quickly but I think it had more to do with being in too many waiting rooms than anything else. Since I'm trying to free up the size 2's I've been working on the fingerless mitts. I'm almost to the thumb on the first one. I've been working on the little fox as well. It's not a hard pattern but I'm not a fan of the writing style. The other problem I've had is that all the other stuffies I've made have the decreases on the back or bottom an this one they are in the front. I'm hoping the stuffing won't show through too much. I've made all the pieces except the tail. I'm not looking forward to sewing it together. That's the part I always hate about stuffed animals. I am out of waiting room knitting. Everything I have has too much thinking till I can free up the size 2 needles. I don't want to start another project (well I do want to but I shouldn't) I'll spin till I can work on something else.
I finished my story for NaNoWriMo. I knew I was going to run out of plot and I did at the 27,926 mark. After I spell check it and have a couple of people read it and see what they think. It was somehow easier and harder at the same time. The actual writing wasn't hard at all and at times was really fun. Finding ways to explain and describe things was interesting. It took up a lot more time than I though. Someone experienced with writing could probably make the story 50,000 but that's not me (not now anyway). I'll probably leave it for a wile then look at it and see if I can do something with it. Now that I have my time back I'll try and post more often.
I'm still watching the k-dramas with the kids but what I'm doing most of is catching up on podcasts. Some of them have three episodes out. I'm getting through them slowly. Amy Beth (The Fat Squirrel Speaks) made me actually laugh out loud but other than that I don't think there was anything extra special. If I run into anything I'll let you know.
It's really cold and my husband is still on vacation but that's about it around here. I'm not complaining though. We are mostly ready for Thanksgiving. I have a few more things to buy but as long as I buy them early in the week we should be o.k. I don't want to shop anywhere near Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I think that's it so I'll talk to you next time.

These are the finished mitts for my niece. The pattern is a free on on Ravelry called Maize by Tincanknits. I really didn't enjoy picking up the stitches for the thumb. The mitts aren't hard they just weren't as fun as I thought they would be. The toddler mitts are almost done. I did a lot of waiting room knitting so the sock is up to the point where I need my size 2 needles. The problem with that is my size 2 needles are in the fingerless mitts for my daughter. I need to find something else for waiting room knitting. The plan now is finish the toddler mitts, make the little fox (which I'm kind of not looking forward to because of sewing), and finish the cupcake pillow. If I can find a patch for the Iowa Hawkeyes I may make a hat for my brother in-law for Christmas.
As far as NaNoWriMo goes I hit the 25,000 word mark. I think I may make another day or two of the word count but the story is almost over. I'm kind of getting the same feeling with this that I do during Tour de Fleece, Doing so much all at once kind of gets tiring. I don't know if I'll ever write again since I may never have another plot. If I ever get a plot I may try it again but I'm not holding my breath. I'll let you know what the final word count is when I get there.
I haven't been watching any podcasts and I'm so far behind some people have two episodes out. That's next on my schedule. I did watch the first two episodes of Pinocchio. I like it so far but the first episode of back story was really painful to watch. The set up is a little weird but I think it will be a fun ride.
It's been snowing on and off for the last few days but today is the first day there is any accumulation. There is a light dusting on the roofs and sidewalks like someone is sprinkling sugar but it's not thick yet. My husband has taken a bunch of days off to play the new WOW expansion. He has one toon that is level 100 but it was kind of hard for him to level because the site had a lot of issues. I think that's all that's happening around here. I'll see you next time.

Here is the start of the next sock. It's the one my daughter wants. I made these with a few less stitches than I usually do so I can see if it fits better. I'm really enjoying the stripes. I got the ends tucked in on my nieces fingerless mitts so I'll be able to take pictures of those soon. I have some waiting room knitting to do today but other than that I will work on the toddler mitts. I think we are finally free of lice so I can start on the little fox for the craft exchange. I always have too many plans.
NaNoWriMo is going fairly well. At last count I was up to 18,429 but I'm getting to the end of the story. I still don't have a title or a clear ending. I'm sure I'll get to 25,000 but after that I'm not sure. There are some things I'll need to fix like descriptions and explanations. I feel weird sometimes about why I'm writing so much when it won't ever be published. I'll keep you updated.
The kids and I watched a few more episodes of Tomorrow's Cantabile and are caught up on Modern Farmer. It's fun to have my daughter enjoying the same thing as I am. My son likes it too but not as much. Because I've been watching so much kdrama I'm behind on my podcasts, that will be what I work on today but I will be out for a while so I don't know how much time I'll have.
The weather has gotten colder but that is to be expected. Today was the first day that it was below freezing when I got up, I even saw a few flakes in the air. I'm not the biggest fan of winter. At least I have lots of hats and scarves. See you next time.

Progress on the "Don't Cage Me In" socks. The colors aren't my first choice but it looks like it's turning out well. I added five stitches so it will go over my heel. I usually only add four but the pattern is in multiples of five. It think it will be o.k., I'll keep you updated. I also started a pair of plain self striping socks so I would have waiting room knitting. My daughter likes it and wants them. I told her no but it won't bee to long before her feet are as big as mine and then I think she'll steal my socks. It seems like I always have quite a bit of yarn left over so maybe after I finish mine I can make her some short ones. I'll have see when we get to that point. I did ask for self striping sock yarn for Christmas so this could be fun.
I've been listening to a lot of kpop lately. I listen to it when I'm writing my story and yesterday I ended up watching lots with my daughter and critiquing the videos. She enjoyed the time we spent together but I'm afraid I'm overdosing on kpop. I'll have to listen to something else to even it out. We have been enjoying Modern Farmer and are waiting for the next episode.
I'm still working on NaNoWriMo. I'm up to 13,396 words at last count. It's 21 pages. I don't think I've written over a 10 page paper. Of course talking takes up room so that's part of it. It doesn't even have a title yet. It is taking up most of my time so posts will probably be sporadic. This is an interesting experiment.
Parent teacher conferences went well. The weather is getting colder but it is November. I think that's it. I'll see you next time and hopefully there won't be so many days in between.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture. I have been working on things I just don't have any pictures. I finished the tops of the cupcake (remember that project?) but I haven't put the "wrapper" on yet. I finished the fingerless mitts for my niece except for tucking the ends in and started on the mitts for the other niece. The thing that has been taking up my time though is NaNoWriMo. '
I'm having fun with that but it's taking over more of my day than I thought it would. When I was originally planning on doing it I was just going to try for one hour a day and whatever happened that was it. With me basically getting the word count the first day I kind of feel like I need to get the word count, I stopped timing it now but I think it's around an hour and a half to two hours especially when you include spell checking (I'm a really bad speller). I don't necessarily do it all in one chunk either. Sometimes it's in little bits through out the day so it feels even longer. I'm not really doing any editing except to make sure everything makes sense. The plot feels like it's moving to fast and that I'll run out of plot (what little plot I have) before the end of the month. There are things I can definitely go back and expand if I need to. I'm in this weird space where writing is fun while I'm doing it but when I'm not I feel bad about how bad the plot is and that I don't actually know anything about what I'm writing about. Right now I have 8,478 words and today's goal is 10,000. This might be hard to achieve because I have errands to run today. We'll see how it goes.
I did catch up on my kdramas. Right now I'm watching My Lovely Girl (or She's So Lovable), Tomorrow's Cantabile, Modern Farmer and Pride and Prejudice. My Lovely Girl rends this week. Tomorrow's Cantabile and Modern Farmer I'm watching with my daughter and Modern Framer is crazy enough that my son can even follow it when he can't read so fast. It has some crazy and disgusting scenes in it so it's not for everyone but it's not worse than U.S. television. In the show they buy a puppy and spotting the puppy in different scenes is kind of a game for us now. Pride and Prejudice has nothing to do with the book, it's a police procedural. The plots aren't the greatest but the over arching mystery is interesting and there are so many good looking guys. One of them, Lee Tae Hwan, is only 19. It blows my mind, he looks so much older. Some of it of course is styling but I was surprised. The other actor that is in it is Choi Jin Hyuk who was in Fated to Love You. If I have time today I'll probably listen to my podcasts but I'm not sure I will be able to.
I guess that's it. We have parent teacher conferences so that will be interesting. I think my kids are both doing pretty well. I'll try to make sure I have a picture for next time. See you then.

It's very pink isn't it? Now that I know how to do yarn overs correctly the heat shows up a lot better. I used a free fingerless glove pattern. with no design, to get the stitch count and am using the "Hearts for You" chart to make the shapes. I did some charity knitting and that's it. I'll work on the mitts for my niece later today so maybe I'll have those done for next time. I'm just not enjoying the pattern even though it's easy. Most of the pattern it o.k. it's just the thumb. I just need to get over it and do it.
Yesterday I caught up on the few U.S. shows I watch. Today I'll work on my kdramas, I'm really far behind. The only other thing that's going on is NaNoWriMo. The first day was kind of easy. I had the scene clear in my head and when I put it in Google Docs I had 1650 words. To hit the 50,000 mark you need to do 1,667 words a day. I added a few words and ended up with over 1800. The second day was harder. Part of it was there was more talking but it also felt more like I had to hit that goal. I did hit it and it only took me about an hour and a half. I think that's not too bad. When I'm writing it's fun but at other times I feel embarrassed because the plot and the writing are not good, As of right now I have 3,468 words. It sounds like a lot but according to the count it's only six pages.
I think that's it for today. Halloween is over with so now I have to plan for Thanksgiving and decide if I want to knit for anyone for Christmas. I'm kind of thinking that I won't. I'll see you next time.

This mess is the fingerless mitts I'm working on for my niece. One is finished and the ends need to be woven in and the other is up to the gusset. Yes it's missing a needle. I broke one of my U.S. 7s so the other one travels between projects. When knitting in the round the right needle determines size so if the left needle is smaller it doesn't matter. This is what I've been doing between this project and my charity knitting. The other thing I have been working on is the fingerless mitts for my daughter that I will show next time. Nothing else interesting going on with my crafting right now.
I haven't really done any watching or listening to much at all. I did get caught up on Running Man. They did have a name tag ripping game so that was fun. I am so far behind on my kdramas and I haven't played WOW in a wile. I don't know how my free time will shape up now the NaNoWriMo has started. I did type for an hour today but my word processor doesn't count words so I had to count by hand. I got about 1300 but I could have counted wrong. I'm going to figure out a different word processor that counts and copy/paste to that. We'll see how it goes. This will be an interesting experiment.
The only other thing that is a tiny bit interesting is that I'm figuring out Korean writing (Hangul) a little bit. I learned a few letters to try to spell my family's names but now that I know a few I can kind of sound things out like song titles. Doing that made me figure out more letters. It's kind of like a puzzle. I don't know what the words mean and there are still a bunch of letters I don't know but it's still kind of fun. I'm not going to go out of my way to try but I may learn more kind of accidentally. That's it for today. See you next time.

This is the first square for my scrap blanket. It's a little misshapen but I think that won't show when it's sewn with a bunch of other ones. I think I need to make about 24. If you remember any of my old projects you might recognize the yarn form my solar flair hat or the rainbow bit in the middle from my daughter's socks or the brown at the end from my stripy socks. It's made by holding two strands of sock weight yarn together so when one runs put you just tie on another scrap. I'm almost half way through the next square but I might be stuck there for a little wile till I get more scraps. I got to the gusset on the fingerless mitts and actually considered working on the cup cake. This is progress. The down side is I don't really have any projects that are mindless at the moment. Not that I mind when I'm at home but when I'm stuck in a waiting room it's not easy. My family did name draw and so now I have to decide if I will make anything. I think I will make something very small like a knit ornament for the tree to go along with whatever we buy. I don't think I will make something big because I don't think it will be appreciate. Not that they will hate or don't like hand made gifts but they won't put the effort in to care for it or understand how much work goes into things. I may make some washcloths to go into a grab bag for my husband's family's Christmas but I won't stress myself out making a ton of thing for everyone.
I think that's it. The temperature is getting close but not breaking the freezing mark yet. There was frost on the ground though and I saw a beautiful leaf, I wished I had my camera. It was a bright beautiful red with an edging of frost all around the outside. If I remember to bring my camera then I won't see anything interesting. That's the way it always seems to go anyway. See you next time.

Here are the finished stripy socks. I like them but I would have preferred other colors. I will have a picture of my feet in the socks at the end of post. It's just not a good picture. I learned a trick from James of Dancing Geek. When you are doing ribbing and you change colors you do a row of knit. It doesn't make it less stretchy and it makes the row look even and not bumpy for the knits and purls. I haven't been doing much else but I really need to finish the fingerless gloves for my niece so I can get on to the toddler ones.
I have't been doing much except listening to podcasts, I'm caught up on every thing as far as I know. I know there was a lot of problems the last few years with Blip kicking podcasters off. The problem is that because of this some of the older episodes on some podcasts are gone now. I'm not really OCD but it bothers me a bit that I can't go back to episode one. It makes me want to just watch/listen to new ones that I can start at the beginning. I'm still finishing Yarnivore but I did finish Dancing Geek. Sadly Knitabulls has decided not to continue.
I didn't post yeterday because I was having issues with depression. I'm o.k. today but yesterday was pretty yucky. I almost didn't post today because I couldn't find my camera but I got it done. My daughter is on a school trip today so I have to go get her later this evening. I think that's about it. I'll see you next time.
Monday, October 27, 2014
Here is the scarf. It still curls a bit but not nearly as much. The yarn seems flatter (for lack of a better word) after the laundry. The texture, on one side, matches the hat. I didn't work on the fingerless mitts much. I did finish the socks and I used the scraps to finish up a blanket square. I also started some long fingerless gloves for my daughter. They are going to have a heart pattern all the way down the arms. I did some charity knitting and that's about it.
I don't think I have anything else to say. I have been listening to the Dancing Geek podcast and that's it. His podcasts are long (really long) but they are interesting. The kids had a half day today but they had a dentist appointment so I just called them off school. I feel like I should say something else but I can't think of anything so I'll end here. Have a good day.

This may not have a lot of knitting and a bunch of complaining. Here is last weeks charity knitting. I have been working on the fingerless mitts. I finished one and and am working on the second. I realized I really don't like picking up stitches for the thumb. I've never had to do that before. I've picked up stitches for a heel gusset but that was unpleasant as well. I think it would have helped if I had DPNs. The pattern isn't hard but I don't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I think the toddler mitts will be easier because they won't have thumbs. This is also why I probably won't ever make gloves with fingers.
I didn't blog on Wednesday because I was depressed. I know it may sound silly but I was really sad that I was probably going to have to cut my hair. I hadn't seen any critters in a few days but then I found one in my hair. I was actually crying a bit. It didn't help that the toilet had over flowed in the middle of the night so I was overtired. I was explaining/complaining to my friend and we decided to try a suffocation method. I used some of her hair grease that is the consistency of petroleum jelly. I also did my daughter's hair when she came home from school. I left mine in for 24 hours and washed (or tried to) hers out before school. When she left for school her hair was wet so I didn't realize how much hadn't come out. She looked like her hair was wet all day. I felt so bad sending her to school like that. It didn't really come out of my hair either and so I looked it up on line. The suggestions that were most common, and seemed to work, was using dish detergent, since it is made to cut through grease, and specifically Dawn. That made sense since that is what they use for getting oil off water birds after an oil spill. I bought some (since what I had at home was generic) but I probably should have used the original and not the pretty smelling one. I washed my hair and my daughter's multiple times and it's much better today, though it's not all out. Because of this I haven't checked my hair yet. Hopefully we are done and yes I have washed the sweaters and blankets again. As weird as it sounds this whole thing is actually very emotionally exhausting for me.
The other little story that was just a tiny bit irritating is also about my daughter. I went over to my friend's apartment that is across the parking lot. I knew Amey would be home soon but figured she had her key so she could be home by herself for five minutes. I basically had my hand on the door nob to go home when I got a phone call. It was from the office and they said "Amey is here and she is locked out can we give her the key?" I said, "Oh, I thought she had her key. I'm just at the neighbor's so I'll be right there." As I was walking out of my friend's house I met my daughter walking out of the office. There were two things I noticed right away. 1. The key was around her neck. 2. She was barefoot. What happened was she could get in the apartment and took her shoes off (she hates wearing shoes). She noticed the music was still on, my coat etc. was there, and the car was parked out front. She just wanted to know where I was. Sigh. So she got talked to about walking around in October outside with out shoes, not to worry unless I wasn't back before her brother got home, and the first place to check would have been the neighbor not the office. I guess I'm glad she knew to go there but really does she have to make me look bad? At least it was before I did her hair so she didn't look greasy on top of it. I know it's a first world problem but it's still a pain.
O.k. I think that's it for my complaining, for today at least. It's Mooky's birthday today. He wants to help make the cake so we will do it once he gets home from school. He is turning 8 but his emotions are a little younger so he's sad he's not getting lots of presents. He's hard to buy for because he doesn't like much. Hopefully for Christmas he won't be rude to anyone. We're working on it. I'm going to the school to volunteer in about and hour or so so I may have a story when I get back. I'll see you next time.

There is a creeper in my cabinet! If you don't know, its a character from the game "Minecraft." My daughter got a little figure and put him in the cabinet. I think he (she?) looks really cute there so I left it and took a picture. No it's not craft related but I thought it was cute.
I washed the scarf and it flattened out. I'm a little disappointed in the yarn. It's really soft in the ball but when I washed it (on hot, not the way it says on the label) it came out really stiff and almost scratchy. I dried it on hot (not the instructions on the label) and it came back a little softer but not as nice as it was before I washed it. I usually wash things on cold but with the lice issue I was being careful with the hot water. I have to tuck the ends in and then I'll take a picture. I made one of the fingerless mitts. It wasn't hard but I kept reading it wrong and having to rip out. The pattern is in reverse stockinette but I don't like to purl so much, so I reversed the knits and purls and then turned it right side out when I was done. It was something Amy Beth (Fat Squirrel Speaks) suggested and it works. I've been working on the stripy socks a little too. It has now become my waiting room knitting. I think that's all the crafting.
I have listened to a bunch of podcasts. Even though I wasn't done with Yarnivore I listened to a new one from England called Dancing Geek. He is so funny and his podcasts are really long. He only has about seven episodes so it will be easy to catch up and go back to Yarnivore. I don't know why but for some reason my computer hasn't been running well so some of the podcasts have been hard to watch. I have them all watched/ listened to now (well the ones with new episodes) so I think I may play WOW tomorrow.
I think that's it. I guess it's back to a boring life. lol I'll leave you with a picture of an orange tree, I'll see you next time.

Here is the October picture. It was taken at about 8 in the morning. You can see the leaves are going from the trees. I should have added the picture I took of a tree full of orange leaves, I'll try and remember for next time.
I have done some charity knitting and I'll put the picture of that for next time. I finished my nephew's scarf and started on my niece's fingerless mitts. The scarf curls terribly but after I wash it I will block it and see if that fixes it. If it's still curly it will just have to be that way but at least I'll make an attempt. I haven't found any lice in a few days so when it's been a week I'll start on the little fox. I'm afraid to say I haven't seen lice in case I see some. Hopefully I have gotten out of the funk I was in and be able to make more things.
I finished the kdrama Plus 9 Boys. It was cute drama. In Korea everyone ages one year up all at the same time on Chinese New Year. This is how it is possible for all the boys to have their age end in 9 for a whole year at the same time. The boys in question are 9,19. 29, and 39. The 9, 19, and 29 year olds are brothers and the 39 year old is their uncle. They all live together with their mom/sister since the dad/brother-in-law died eight years ago. The ten year age gap is explained by the mom and dad going on a trip every ten years for their anniversary. The 9 year old got very popular when he was little for being in a movie but now that he is a little older he is not as cute and is getting passed over for parts. It doesn't help that he is a terrible actor and very arrogant about his past popularity. The 19 year old is very full of himself. He thinks he's all that and loves to post selfies of himself with cheesy little thoughts. He's good at judo but in an important match he accidentally poops on himself and loses. He kind of give up on judo for a bit and becomes obsessed with a girl he keeps seeing and thinks it's destiny. She is not exactly what she seems so that causes conflict as well. The 29 year old has a mad crush for a co-worker but he's afraid to say anything and risk losing the friendship. As an added wrinkle he did something in their past that really hurt her so he has to be careful. The 39 year old uncle is a TV producer who gets bumped from a music show to a kids show because of a mistake. He is getting hounded to get married but his heart was broken ten years ago and he can't get over it. The show goes through with the year with them and it has a happy ending though it felt a tiny bit rushed. I would recommend it.
The other kdramas I have stated are Cantabile Tomorrow and Modern Farmer. Cantabile Tomorrow is based on the manga/anime Nodame Cantabile. There is an almost OCD pianist that really wants to be a conductor. He meets a girl who is sloppy and a bit crazy. I'm sure they will fall in love but right now it only has two episodes out right now. It's really funny to me and not in the over the top way. Modern Farmer is about a washed up rock band who move to the country to grow cabbage to make money to make a new album. It's funny too but in a over the top crazy style.
I think that's it. I'm sure I'll think of something I missed. Hopefully everything will go well this week, I'll see you next time.

No I haven't blogged all week and I don't even have a picture. I don't know if it's my depression is acting up or what but I haven't had any motivation. I feel like I'm moving slow, not getting anything done and been tired all the time. I'm trying to get back on track and today I feel better than I have in a wile. Once I get my energy back I'll be able to get some more things done. Sorry.
I did do a little charity knitting. The scarf is almost done then I will start on the fingerless mitts. I think I may actually finish the scarf tonight and if I do I'll work on the stripy socks.
We are still battling the lice. I don't think they are resistant, I think I thought I had it and wasn't being vigilant. I really love my long hair. I really don't like myself much but I like my hair and eyes. If we don't get the lice taken care of by Sunday I'm going to cut my hair. I'm sad and nervous about this. As a consolation, if I have to cut it, I will dye it some sort of interesting color maybe from Manic Panic. We'll see.
Over last weekend I did finish Surplus Princess. It's a take on The Little Mermaid so some things are predictable. Basically there is a mermaid that is a obsessed with cell phones and a celebrity chef that she finds very cute. One day wile she is watching him cook by the Han River he falls in. She grabs him and kisses him (very deeply) and then his (female) assistant rescues him the rest of the way. He has a vague memory of the incident and is looking for the girl he kissed. The mermaid looks for a way to become human so she can meet him since she feels it's love. Yes, she finds a way to become human and she has to find a way to find love in 100 days or she will fade away. She moves into a share house and meets some interesting characters. The show use a lot of pop culture parodies. It is a funny show but not deep at all. It was cut from the original 14 episodes to 10 so the end is rushed. I would reccomed it but it's not one that will make you think.
I guess that's it. Hopefully I will have a better week tomorrow. Have a good day.

This is my nephew's scarf. I am sad about the curling but I am happy I figured out how to match the hat. I'm thinking of trying to block it, even though it's acrylic, to see if I can get rid of the curling. At last count it was over 40" so I'm almost done. I was originally planning the toddler mitts with out thumbs but I'm thinking maybe I should put them in. I'll decide when I get to it. I asked my sister who does Christmas name draw to pick names soon so we can know who we have early. Depending on who it is I may make something for them. We'll see.
I listened to all my podcasts and a few of Yarnavore. Wendy of Knit One Heart Too has kids my the same age as mine. I knew they were close but she said their ages and they are almost exact the only thing is her kids are a grade above because of the birthday cut off. For kdrama I'm catching up on the ones I missed wile I was watching Fated to Love You. Surplus Princes was supposed to run for about sixteen episodes but I guess it wasn't popular so it was cut to ten. I'll finish it and write a little review. I caught up on Running Man as well. My computer and Dramafever weren't getting along for a wile so it was hard to watch. The episode to promote My Lovely Girl had me laughing harder than I had at Running Man in a long time. Kwang Soo looks surprisingly good in make up. I think it's episode 214 but Dramafever calls it 125. My view of Rain has changed. Before I watched My Lovely Girl the only thing I knew of Rain was the "La song" and "30 Sexy" (Dirty Sexy). Both left me an impression of him as juvenile and his songs just filled with sex. He seems much more mature in the kdrama, I found out he played my favorite character in Speed Racer, and on Running Man he was sweet and helpful. I know the character you see in videos is one dementional but it really is nice to see a more well rounded view.
I think that's it. The kids have yesterday off and Monday as well. There is a VIXX concert coming up that my daughter would have loved to go to but we found out about it to late. The weather is still nice even as it gets a little cooler. I'm o.k. with no adventures, I'll see you next time.

These are the little hat and mitts I made for my charity knitting. The hat is ribbed so it should grow with the baby. I really need to get these things washed and mailed. I've been working on the scarf for my nephew and I'm almost done. After that I have the patterns for the baby mitts and fingerless mitts ready. After Sunday, if I haven't found any more lice, I'll work on the little fox. I bought the patter and a couple of extra patterns since she was having a sale. My daughter chose a baby bunny and my son chose a Snorlax from Pokemon. Maybe I'll get around to those eventually. I have too many plans.
I finished Fated To Love You. I liked it and would recommend it. The painful parts were very painful (have a box of Kleenex ready) but there was so much cute that evened it out. The plot is a bit predictable but it's still a lot of fun. Kim Mi Young refers to herself as a post-it note girl, easily used and thrown away, at her office. She has a hard time saying "No" to any request so she gets all the extra work dumped on her. She works like Cinderella and dreams that her prince will come some day. Lee Gun is a wealthy CEO and a royal descendant with a weird laugh and hair. He is madly in love with his girlfriend Se Ra, a prima ballerina, and plans to propose on vacation since Se Ra is now back from the U.S. and planning to retire. Mi Young wins a vacation to the same spot and goes with a man she thinks likes her. Gun has recently bought a factory and plans to close it. The mangers (Drama Beans calls them the Soap Suds duo) plan to ruin Guns proposal by drugging him and having him sleep with a prostitute. In the process of drugging gun they accidentally drug Mi Young as well. Both of our leads stumble to their rooms and Mi Young accidentally ends up in Gun's (it's a 9/6 confusion) and they end up having sex. In the morning everything blows up. It turns out one of the Soap Suds Duo is Mi Young's brother in-law, the guy Mi Young brought is a jerk that is just using her, and Se Ra never shows up. Mi Young and Gun come to and understanding and plan never to see each other again. She goes back to being a post-it note (even though he told her to be super glue) and he goes back to managing his business and is sad that Se Ra chose ballet over him. The problem comes when Mi Young discovers she is pregnant. Now the couple has to navigate their families, old love, and each other as they figure out what to do about the baby. Apparently it is a custom to give the baby a cute name before it's born (it won't be the real name) and they name theirs "dog poo." Even though there is sex in this one, it's done in a very funny way and nothing risque is shown. Because I have been binge watching this show I'm a little behind one my other dramas so I'll try and catch up tomorrow.
I didn't blog yesterday because I couldn't find my camera. Tomorrow the kids have off school. Today I did a bunch of running around so I didn't get much done. I guess that's about it. I guess I don't have anything else to say. I'll see you next time.
