This is the first square for my scrap blanket.  It's a little misshapen but I think that won't show when it's sewn with a bunch of other ones.  I think I need to make about 24.  If you remember any of my old projects you might recognize the yarn form my solar flair hat or the rainbow bit in the middle from my daughter's socks or the brown at the end from my stripy socks.  It's made by holding two strands of sock weight yarn together so when one runs put you just tie on another scrap.  I'm almost half way through the next square but I might be stuck there for a little wile till I get more scraps.  I got to the gusset on the fingerless mitts and actually considered working on the cup cake.  This is progress.  The down side is I don't really have any projects that are mindless at the moment.  Not that I mind when I'm at home but when I'm stuck in a waiting room it's not easy.  My family did name draw and so now I have to decide if I will make anything.  I think I will make something very small like a knit ornament for the tree to go along with whatever we buy.  I don't think I will make something big because I don't think it will be appreciate.  Not that they will hate or don't like hand made gifts but they won't put the effort in to care for it or understand how much work goes into things.  I may make some washcloths to go into a grab bag for my husband's family's Christmas but I won't stress myself out making a ton of thing for everyone.

I think that's it.  The temperature is getting close but not breaking the freezing mark yet. There was frost on the ground though and I saw a beautiful leaf, I wished I had my camera.  It was a bright beautiful red with an edging of frost all around the outside.  If I remember to bring my camera then I won't see anything interesting.  That's the way it always seems to go anyway.  See you next time.
