Here is the ice cream pillow as promised.  It was funny that they had Neapolitan ice cream at the party.  I'm working on my daughter's now and haven't blocked the shawl yet.  The pattern is a free one called Rainbow Sherbet Throw Pillow by Twinkie Chan.

We had a fun weekend.  I'll try to remember as much as possible. We left Friday morning because the kids did not have school (it was an institute day or something like that).  It didn't take us as much time as we thought but the drifting snow was not fun.  There were time it was hard to see the cars (even a truck) in front of us.  The kids had fun opening presents with grandma and grandpa. I got a camera and I'm very excited about it.  We got to eat at a falafel place which was nice because we don't have those around here.  In the evening the kids spent the night with the cousins and my husband and I stayed with my patents.  I stayed up way to late talking with two of  my sister.  The next day, after a late breakfast, we went to my niece's birthdays.  She had a dinosaur cake where they pressed dinosaurs into the cake so you could dig them out.  Then we came home.  When we got home we realized that we left the Kindle there but other than that it was a fun trip.

Because I didn't want to spoil the surprise I started a new project.  It's a scarf where you change colors so it was easy car and chatting knitting.  Now that I'm home I did a little more my my daughter's sock and her pillow.  I need to decide about my husband's sweater.  I think I may do it as my dissertation.

Yesterday I listened to some podcasts and today is a WOW day.  The kids are off school so I am trying to keep them off the TV as much as possible.   They have had more days off for weather this year than I did my whole school career.  I will pull them out after June 4th though since the wedding is on June 6th.  Does this make me a bad mom?  I hope not.  Still on the search for a dress for me. I'll talk more about my new camera  tomorrow if I remember. See you then.
